She began writing while living in Wales and had her first novels published by Welsh publishers Parthian and Accent Press.[3]

She now writes for Pan Macmillan and is the author of the new teen fiction series, Lottie Biggs which has been translated into Greek, Danish, Norwegian and French.[4]

Lottie Biggs is Not Mad (July 2009) is the story of a fifteen year old girl from Cardiff who discovers that she '...has a mental disturbance of a reasonably significant nature. In 2010, this was awarded the White Raven label for outstanding children's literature by the International Youth Library.[5] This was followed in May 2010 with Lottie Biggs is Not Desperate which tracks Lottie's increasingly hilarious attempts ...to have intimate knowledge with Gareth Stingecombe's personal regions- despite the fact that he just wants to play rugby. 'Lottie Biggs is Not Desperate' was longlisted for the Young Minds Book Award 2010.[6] The final book in this trilogy is 'Lottie Biggs is Not Tragic' which was released in August 2011.
